Next Level Lesson - seat belt कस के बाँधिए
******
The Air Hostess announces that passengers should keep their seat belts fastened all the time during the journey.

We may wonder why she makes this announcement because the need for a seat belt is seldom felt.

However, these are processes designed for emergencies because one bad turbulence is enough to sustain fatal injuries and therefore proper risk mitigation processes can be life saving.

Likewise in personal finance, a good advisor through prudent risk mitigation advice like diversification, buying during market market dips, asset rebalancing during a market rally etc prepares an investor for exigencies.

Just like the seat belt, these may not seem an urgent need during 'good times'.

However they can prove to be life saving during bad times when markets go through turbulence.

One must remember that 'turbulence' whether in mid-air or in the market is temporary and passes away with time.

But, during the turbulence it is the simple risk mitigating processes that come to our rescue and prepare us for the long haul because losing a large portion of one's wealth even for a short period can be very distressing with unexpected consequences.

You may not feel the need of a financial advisor in the best of conditions but  conditions change from time to time and during turbulent conditions when uncertainty prevails, it is good advice and his presence that keeps the investor anchored to safety.
