A Cat Crossed My Path
**
A cat crosses the road.

How many of us get affected?

Do you?

Perhaps not.

But many do stutter, fumble and stumble.

If they don't perform, the corrective ritual soon enough, the cat crossing lingers in their mind. This causes their attention levels to fall and thereby actually causing an accident.

So who was the problem?

The cat or your mind.

It's all there in the mind.

If this is clear, then it is easy to understand what happens in the stock market.

People have already made up their mind that the stock market is risky. This is just like the belief that a cat crossing is a precursor to bad luck befalling upon you.

This message has been handed down by generations.

Investing is a serious logical decision requiring your mind faculties to be be well greased and operational with education as the bed rock.

Thinking emotionally and allowing your heart to show the way is a sure shot formula to fail because what stays in the mind is the perception of risk.

And this lingering thought that there is imminent  a risk that will cross your path makes you to sell your investment at a loss in the next market correction.

This loss further ensures that the belief that markets are risky gets reinforced and spreads virally amongst others.

Because getting educated requires efforts while learning from hearsay is easy, this pattern continues and several opportunities for wealth creation keeps slipping by.

The next time the cat crosses the road, just wish him 'good morning', smile and conquer the miles that follow.
